Collected here in this massive 600+ page anthology are the most important stories published in Space Science Fiction, an American magazine well regarded by science fiction historians. The magazine was one of several published between 1952 - 1954, featuring prominent writers of the science fiction field. Space SF was coordinated first by editor Lester Del Rey and associate editor Michael Shaara, who went on to be a Pulitzer Prize-winning author of fiction, then for a short time by editor Harry Harrison.
