Frederik Pohl was an influential writer and editor, awarded the title of Grand Master by the Science Fiction Writers of America and inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame in 1998. As an editor he won 3 Hugo awards for best professional magazine, and as a writer he won 4 Hugo Awards and 3 Nebulas.
